But why should people outside of that province be paying attention to this?

Well, we have treaties right across Canada.

And in this political climate, there seems to be a lot of anti-Indigenous hate and more groups feeling confident and they're privileged to speak up against what they see as a trampling of their rights.

They actually see treaty as trampling on their rights as Canadian, like they just don't have the historical context and nor do they care to educate themselves.

So I'm like, we need to show up in numbers.

And in 2015 elections, Canada, they had to make a special report on voter turnout on reserve in that federal election.

And when I looked at the data, Alberta led in terms of the voter turnout from across the country.

How do you hope the Get Out the Vote campaign might empower and educate communities beyond this election?
