How did you build your cooking and TV directing work in a way that let both your career and your time with your kids grow together?

That's such a sweet question.

Yeah, you know, I wanted to have kids, but I really wanted to make films.

And so I decided, like, I want to make a film before I have kids.

And then I made, like, I don't even know, I think eight films before I finally... had a baby and I was pushing my late thirties and I realized like, oh man, I really have to focus on, on having a kid if I really want to have a kid.

So I did that.

I stopped working.

How has that balance of attention shifted across your filmography over the years, and does it ever surprise you?

How did, how did you get on that? Like o- off the back of Gone Crazy.

Um, I, I knew Chris.

I'd done a video with him and a PSA with him and, um, and I also I was like really well known as a rap video director.

I'd done all these videos, so I knew that world.

And I just had to position myself to be the perfect person [laughs] for that job, 'cause otherwise you might be like, "How does this girl get that job?" But yeah, just the work that I had done and I had a really good pitch, and I went in and sold the guys at Universal, and Chris and I just had the best time together.

I loved making him laugh, I loved...

I was very professional with him, knowing like when, when you work with comedians, you, you know, they, you don't wanna keep them waiting around all day.

Yep.
