So how did that come about?

Um, yeah, that's a lot of years ago.

I think I'm from the US.

And so when I was studying in the US, there were lots of Europeans coming to labs in the US.

And I thought, well, for my postdoc, I can go the other way.

So I decided to do a postdoc in Switzerland.

And I loved it there and wanted to stay longer and didn't know what to do, wanted to leave the lab.
