It seems to me that the choice is between either Job or Zophar.
1:12
Yes, and I think it's written by Job.
1:15
Verses one to 11 of chapter 28 seem to me to be Job's explanation of despite how clever humans are compared to birds and beasts, this doesn't mean that humans are very wise.
1:27
And here he implies that Zophar's words to him in the previous chapter were not very clever, nor very wise, just repetitive.
1:36
In fact, in Job 27 verse 13, Zophar just repeats what he'd said back in chapter 20 verse 19 at the end of his second speech there, and then continues with what he was saying here.

10:27
Ooh, that's not very pleasant, is it?
10:29
[clears throat] No, it's not, but it's obvious that Job has nothing but total contempt for these people who are now mocking him.
10:38
In verses two to eight, he launches into strong condemnation of them, expressing how good for nothing these people were in his eyes.
21:51
And it was perseverance that Job had.
21:54
Yes, and although Job is often thought of as the great example of having patience in the Bible, in the generally accepted definition of what most people think of as patience, he actually didn't have any.
22:06
Look at what he says in Job 6, verses 11 and 12, for example.
22:11
What strength do I have that I should still hope? What prospects that I should be patient? Do I have the strength of stone? Is my flesh bronze?
23:43
They're just better at coping with them or maybe better at hiding them than other people are.
23:49
Yeah.
23:50
And it really takes difficult circumstances to make us develop patience and perseverance.
23:57
It's easy to keep on going when things are easy.
