you do the whole caboodle okay and the fourth arm in the business is really interesting that's home care

yeah so so i started helping hands and initially it was helping hands home help service where we would go in to the elderly client now these clients because i've been going for so long and I am so old these clients came on probably 25 years ago in the 50s or whatever and they've aged and gone with me all the time and the family says can you help them Suzanne mum's a bit infirm she struggles to get to appointments etc etc so So I started helping out as home service, which was literally bobbing in, helping with shopping, getting to appointments, that sort of thing.

But we're very lucky where we're situated because the National Health Service is within my building where I work, our head office.

And one day a registered nurse came in and said, I'm retiring in two weeks from the NHS, but I don't actually want to retire.

Have you got anything going? So that's where Paula...

came along our registered nurse who's our registered manager who has changed the face of everything that we do with me so uh we now offer full home care so we have clients who rely on us to go in three or four times a day because they've no family um and we've got clients who maybe want you once a day once a week whatever we just tailor make it to suit what they need

I mean, you were rolled up your sleeves.

Yeah.

So how did that then build into commercial cleaning and what came next?

So what came next was my clients would say, you don't know anybody who irons.

Do you iron? Well, I love ironing.

So I said, oh, yeah, I like ironing.

I'll do your ironing for you.

So I started with the ironing and laundry.

and then they'd say well my husband's got a business or I've got a business you don't do commercial cleaning so I thought well we could probably bolt that on early on in the morning and do the commercial cleaning so we started with that and then a lot of my clients would say you don't know anybody who can do gardening or can do some power washing and So we bolted that on.

that is a great way to be though isn't it
