That's the one thing about horse people that is... funny and infuriating is like we're very much so you know we do this with our horses a lot where we go yeah he's just always been like that or yeah that's just him or yeah I just do that and you know sometimes I think it's really great that we just like accept ourselves and our horses for the way they are but also we can all always be improving so it it is always funny because it's such a common thing with riders to be like yeah no that's just how it's always been but you made an interesting point that okay my shoulders could have been rounded from the way I actually held my hand which doesn't necessarily to I wouldn't necessarily think my hand has much to do with my shoulder, right? And so when you're assessing riders and working with riders, how do you know where something is actually the problem?
20:11
That's a good question.
20:12
And I think sometimes it depends.
20:15
A lot of the time I try to go back to the pelvis because or whenever it's closest.
20:19
So like in an arm, if it's an arm issue, looking at the shoulder joint first, because the farther away from the center of the body you get, the more you see the problem.
20:31
So like somebody with busy lower legs, you see the busyness in the lower leg.
20:35
But the fix is not necessarily, oh, you've got to fix your lower leg.

Um, what are the causes of these two things and how does that influence the way the rider's sitting in the saddle?
