You talk about traffic violations.

I just moved here in 2024, and I had mentioned I lived in Florida for a little bit, so I had the SunPass, which all the billboards say SunPass is accepted.

So I started driving in the lane.

Well, about two weeks later, I kept getting violation and violation, and here's what you have to pay.

Which all of that stuff is digitally recorded now.

So in 2015, about seven months after Dan's death, investigators start going through statewide SunPass records around the date of the murder.

They cross-referenced the Silver Pine Micah Priuses with SunPass accounts.

Then they cross-reference and check which one of those cars had been on toll roads in the days around Dan's death.

By March of 2015, the task force was down to fewer than 10 cars, which again, going back to what you said of how many Priuses there are.

We really thought we were onto something there." But what they do get out of that bus footage video is they realize there are two people in the car, and there is a white square that is on the windshield.

And they're like, "Well, that's a SunPass." That's, that's, like, one of those toll things, right? Mm-hmm.

And they're like, "Well, those are everywhere in South Florida, but we don't really have those in Talla- like, not a lot of people in Tallahassee have them." Yeah.

We don't have toll roads.

I was like, why would you buy one? And we do it semi, semi-frequently.

Yeah.

I mean, you either pay the toll or you just preload the SunPass.

[laughs] And then are you doing like the SunPass thing, or are you just getting it from the rental?

I, I'm gonna tell them to try to pick it up.
