How would you explain to someone who doesn't know anything about cybersecurity what you actually do?

Yeah, no, it's such an important question, that one, and even just the way you introduced it, because so many people don't really know what cybersecurity is yet, where maybe interacting with it on our phones or on our workstations in some form, but we don't actually realize.

So the way I describe cybersecurity to people that don't fully understand it is that I always say that when you work in this space, you are essentially the police of the internet.

So how you have physical police out on the streets protecting our communities, cybersecurity personnels are either protecting their organizations, protecting a customer, protecting themselves.

from the online ecosystem.

So it could be as simple as how do you protect yourself on social media? How do you make sure that no one can hack into your Instagram account? Or it could go to something way more complex in how do you make sure someone doesn't hack into your corporate network infrastructure and steal confidential customer data? So...

I guess the spectrum of cybersecurity is wide.

So where is the accountability in this process?
