it was in houston too at the joke joint and it sold out really fast so they added a second show that night so i went back to back and i blacked out and didn't remember any of it and i wasn't drinking or anything i was just that absolutely freaking terrified of speaking in public so that's like a big misconception i did take a break in the middle because obviously covet and a lot of stuff venues closed or whatnot but um but i've been doing it for quite a while this is my second or third really big tour um my second time to st louis i'm doing tulsa and oklahoma city a couple days before that i've been to those venues several times um i think that a lot of people one and other comics too thought oh she just started you know she does her best work laying down i do my most fun work laying down That's for sure.

But I've been doing comedy for quite a while, and I've won awards for my writing comedy and my comedy TV series and stuff like that.

So people think that it's just a gimmick, I guess, or that it's all just about politics.

And I think that people are burnt out about politics.

politics just in general and that's not everything about now of course we talk about it a little bit it's the elephant in the room of course um but that's not what my set's about i think that if you ask anyone else who comes to a show what they're most surprised about other than it's just you know um entertaining is that some of the funniest stuff happens to be stories that were cut out of my book There were about my times dancing on the strip club circuit or the stuff that's happened on adult film sets.
