How did you become a drummer? What's your drum story?

Well, very, very young.

I was about six, maybe five or six years old.

And my dad used to buy lots of records, especially rock and roll records and jazz records, some classical too.

But I was really inspired by the rhythms of jazz and rock and roll and stuff back in the 50s.

My mum actually had a couple of drums that were from the 1920s, which was child drums, but they were proper drum heads on them.

In fact, I have a complete set now, very similar to what my mum had a couple of orphan stray drums from.

Was he also somebody that you would say left an impression on you?
