You know when you, you're tired, you just start, like, scraping your feet, you start, like, brushing against things, and he's just doing everything he can to contain that impulse and try to keep pushing forward.

They're like, "Oh my gosh." They start howling, they call their parents, they call their grandparents.

I'm like, "What is going on?" Like, and it's, and it really impacted their...

And they come out over and over again.

So then they, we do it o- and then they tell their friends, and their friends come out, and then it goes from like one kid to like three kids, five kids, and it ends up like being 10 to 12 kids and then you go, "Holy moly, everyone's just coming out now." And now it's like we've impacted like everybody from Southern California to like out-of-state folks that like Utah, Arizona, um, that are just coming in to see our Fish Brain accounts, like our San Clemente Pier, uh, accounts on the Instagram and Facebook Tammy has now li- logged into.

And we've gotten, I don't know how many people we've impacted [laughs] so far in the last like year.

What would you say is one of your most unique stories, Steven, of fishing out on the pier?

Mm.

But those who can use AI versus those who are gonna shun it and say, "That's not, you know, that's not me," there's gonna be, there's gonna be a gap.

And, you know, I think where we are today is, um, there's no rules.

There's no like guidelines on how to use this, and everybody is in a state of chaos, uh, i- is truly what I believe.

And, you know, my work recently has been trying to get faculties together.

Uh, and let's get on the same page as a faculty so that we have a cohesive idea of how we will integrate AI in what courses we can, what courses we shouldn't.

Um-

And then did you, like how'd you settle on the mandolin? You know, after so many years of playing guitar, what made you settle on the mandolin?

Um, well, we were on tour, and I found a mandolin at a, uh, garage sale.

And my guitar player at the time, he, we hadn't showered in like two weeks, so he would throw his feet up against my shoulder.

And I was like, "Oh, man, I can get this," and then just annoy the hell out of him in the band, just playing, learning this instrument until he put his feet down.

And so that's kinda really where it started.

[laughs] And it's actually still on the wall.

It's, it's still pretty much a, a, a sore that they don't want the scab taken off of.

Yeah, that's, that's a story, um, that she, she mentioned, um, that I think is important to, to kind of go over in, in terms of just documentation.

This story involves, that Jo just talked about, was it was a gentleman that was, uh, kind of from predominant people in Yorktown, um, son of, and he had an issue with drugs.

And he was out, uh, partying one night, and he basically was at the point that his friends knew that he was OD'd, you know, that he needed help.

And so they decided to take him to the drug rehab center, at least the story goes.

And so they drop him off at the drug c- rehab center just by ringing a bell, and apparently, that bell didn't work, or the staff member there was negligent, but nobody attended to this gentleman, and he passed away there.

Um, now, I have scoured the internet, uh, [laughs] archives, Victoria's newspaper, a town near Aquero's newspaper.

That is kind of like a secret that they were keeping.

Oh, I love that.

And, yeah.

And as far as, like, you know, Curious Twins, we, we always thought that curiosity was, you know, a good, uh, approach to the paranormal, and it's, you know, not scary.

Um, you know, we're all curious about, uh, certain things, and for us, when we first met, you know, that was something that we had mutual interests, that we were, we're both into the paranormal, uh, but also really into history.

And whenever we would travel together, we would go and do a ghost tour and, you know, go to the spooky places, visit the cemeteries, and eventually, uh, you know, it, it, it came time when we thought we could do this ourselves.

As far as, you know, when the paranormal came into my personal life, um, I have always really been into spooky things, and I think that's because I'm, I'm the youngest of four boys, and my older brothers were much older than me, and they would always scare me.

They would always jump out of closets and, and tell me ghost stories.

[laughs] And I'm not gonna get arrested.

so I'll answer the, the second question.

We are not twins.

Um, we're actually a married couple, but we named the company, um, because my mom is a twin, and his mom also happens to be a twin as well.

So it's in honor of our mothers.

Oh, I love that.

So I saw that, and then I started to hear it moving and, and it was just, it...

I heard it clap, and it was really creepy.

And that was all out of my peripheral vision.

So I'm, I'm just sitting there just kinda, like, frozen after that.

Is it, is, is it stressful?

Extremely stressful.

You can't make a mistake.

Every number, every quote, every piece of information.

The most stressful situation is when something terrible happens.

You race to the scene.

It's a total mess, like police cars everywhere.

And also trigger a release of feel-good hormones like oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins that rush in through the brain and help people like overwhelmed Steven feel calm, confident, and cared for.

Were they good people?

I mean, there was three squares a day.

I mean, there was no abuse or anything like that.

I don't mind the, uh, lickings is what my dad called it.

But did you feel loved?

Yes, I did.

Oh, I remember from childhood other than friends, and they turned out to be drug addicts.

I turned out nominal.

I do

... uh, our mutual childhood, that starts off, saying, "In the top left-hand corner of Wales." And it is very mountainy up there.

And that was the old region of Gwynedd, and the island of Anglesey, or Môn in Welsh, was historically called Mam Cymru, the mother of Wales, because it's low-lying, it's fertile, it's easily accessible from the mainland, and it provided a lot of the agricultural produce needed.

Gwynedd is a very mountainous area, very popular among walkers and climbers because of it.

Historically, one of the strongest kingdoms within Wales.

And plot spoiler, last man standing when native Welsh rule came to an end.

Eryri, which is in English Snowdonia, has the highest 15 mountains in all of Wales.

Um, the most important one is, the vestibular system evolved like so early on in the evolutionary chain that it's entangled with a bunch of deep brain regions that like, some of it, it has some business being entangled with.

In other parts, it really doesn't have much business being entangled with it at all.

And that's why you see like parents rocking their child to sleep.

Like, there's, there's no good explanation for why that works, like from an evolutionary standpoint, except the connectivity is there, which kind of makes sense.
