Steven, post failure to make the Washington baseball team infield, how did you get here?
5:22
Yeah, so I, I tend to think of my career as somewhat the arc of law firm pro bono in a lot of ways and, and I, I only know that looking backwards in, in a lot of ways, how we understand our, our own paths and our own careers.
5:38
I graduated from Northwestern in nineteen ninety four.
5:41
Um, that was the year of the baseball strike, so obviously I wasn’t gonna go play, uh, Major League Baseball then.
5:47
Um, so I went to a law firm in Washington, D.C., to Latham & Watkins.
5:51
I spent four years as a litigator, uh, doing antitrust, white collar criminal litigation.
5:57
Uh, and during those four years, I did almost no pro bono work That was not altogether unusual back then in the '90s, that you could have a young associate come in who was interested in pro bono.
