yeah no i mean i
15:50
feel like it really ebbs and flows um like i guess with any business you know some days i still feel like i've got the perfect people in place other days i feel like i have this vision of where i want to be in three years or even a year and i you know i have to really think hard like Are these all the right people and pieces to get there? And sometimes the answer is no.
16:16
I was actually just having this conversation last week where I was talking about as we're growing and we're scaling, we have all different ideas and directions that we may want to go with the business.
16:29
It's okay if you have people in place now that are doing something and the business needs to pivot.
16:34
Maybe that person's responsibilities can shift and their role can shift.
16:39
There's still great people that are very capable, but maybe you just have to bring in another specialist for this other thing that you're trying to do that may just be a better fit for this one alley right this this one runway which is okay so i think that's that type of stuff has helped me feel like okay well i have more control over it like you can always pivot and change and tweak and i think that's one of the benefits of having your own business and trying to drive your own strategy you can really do what you wish and you know change how you run it with you know with who um and what roles are and what they're responsible for and all of that so i feel like it's a long-winded answer but it's it's it's taking time and you know some days it feels like 100 i'm there other days it feels like i'm taking three steps back

This is not working from those early days.
28:50
Oh, tons.
6:31
Wow.
6:31
Didn't know what I was doing.
6:33
I was-- But I was like, "Hey, let's just go with it." And I kept my corporate job.
6:37
So I was actually doing both corporate and building and opening that store at the same time, like you mentioned, remotely.
6:43
So I live in New Jersey.
6:44
Um, it's about a thousand miles away.
6:46
And typically, what I did and what I still do is I'll fly down every six weeks or so, uh, for a couple of days and spend time at each store and, you know, working with my team and all that good stuff.

10 MINS LATER

But yeah, we'd love to hear a little bit more about how you manage those things.
