Have there been people who have used the Bible as a weapon throughout Christian history? For sure.

You could say that about any religion.

But there, there has always been a core to the faith that is more universal, that seeks connection and mutuality, that seeks to respect the dignity of all of creation, all of humans, all of the created world around us, that seeks to uplift those who are most marginalized.

So yeah, right now it's, it's hard.
