I know.
1:59
You know, sitting here for an hour is going to kill me.
2:05
But retirement was made for me.
2:08
Why? What do you mean? I just adapted to it.
2:13
I guess coming from the business world, from the real estate world, and having the pressure of producing and paying the bills and running a business, being the broker, having all that responsibility was...
2:31
It's nice not to have right now.
2:33
It's really, really nice.
1:38
I know.
1:39
You know, sitting here for an hour is going to kill me.
1:44
But retirement was made for me.
1:48
Why? What do you mean? I just adapted to it.
1:52
I guess taking...

Coming from the business world, from the real estate world, and having the pressure of producing and paying the bills and running a business, being the broker, having all that responsibility was – It's nice not to have right now.
2:13
It's really, really nice.
7:03
And is there a
5:20
So h- how have you guys done such a good job of, like, moving volume and then getting customers to come back and, and leave reviews?
5:27
Yeah, absolutely.
5:28
So I think part of it was just creating awareness on Amazon, right? So doing things like sponsor brand, sponsor product, and that's just to promote it, so when someone searches for a specific keyword.
5:40
Um, we started very niche, too.
5:41
So our, our audience, to me, is any, any parent that has kids 2 to 12, right? So that's a very wide audience.
5:49
But when we first started, we wanted to start smaller and, and more niche.
5:53
So we really looked at the allergen-free space, right? So if you have nut allergies, you have gluten allergies.

12:18
Wow.
27:38
Yeah
27:38
... like, I know if people listen to this podcast who are like, "Fuck yeah, man, I want, I want 100 mil.
27:43
I'll be happy from there.
27:44
It'll solve all my problems," and I thought it would too, and it goes back to my childhood 'cause when I was a kid, I believed that the only thing that matters is money and, like, the way I'm gonna feel loved, appreciated, and taken care of was by being rich because no one, because that's what I was told by kids in the neighborhood was, like, that's all that matters, you know? And so I sold drugs.
28:05
I did all types.
28:07
Anything I could do to get my hands on it, I was hustling.
28:10
Like, from probably from, like, 12 to, like, to my adulthood, I hustled every day.
32:50
If you were to go back in time 15 years, would you do anything differently?
7:38
Um, so what inspired you to s- start Snack Kids? And, uh, was there a defining moment when you realized that, "I have to go and do this company"?
7:50
Yeah, it's a great question.
7:51
So my son Ben is now eight years old, and for me personally, like during COVID, I went and did Ironman.
7:59
Like, I really wanna take care of myself to be an example for my son.
8:05
And part of what happened was I was doing a lot of traveling, so I was going to Costa Rica.
8:10
I did the Inca Trail in Peru into Machu Picchu, and I was looking at cultures that are a little bit different than United States, and I was really focusing on what they were eating, especially the families and the kids.
8:23
And I noticed it was less processed, and if it was processed, it was way better ingredients for you.

How do you define food literacy, and why is it so critical for parents today to know about this?
