Give us your background, how you got there, and then we'll kind of just go from there.
1:21
Yeah, so, uh, humble beginnings, uh, I always loved dogs.
1:26
Uh, and since I was a kid, I loved dogs more than anything.
1:31
Uh, after I graduated high school, I joined the Marine Corps on an infantry contract.
1:36
Um, and then shortly thereafter I got selected for, uh, the Marine Security Guard Battalion, which is, uh, known as embassy duty, and I served in US embassies in Bucharest, Romania, uh, Guatemala City, Guatemala, La Paz, Bolivia, and Lisbon, Portugal.
1:52
Um, my claim to fame on embassy duty was the Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie, better known as the Butcher of Lyon, came to the embassy in La Paz while I was working the front, uh, desk, better known as Post One, and he came up and asked for political asylum.
2:10
Um, it was denied, uh, and off he went out of the embassy sh- uh, only to be picked up shortly thereafter by French intelligence, flown back to France where he was put on trial, convicted, and he dro- he died an unrepentant Nazi in prison.

25:06
Yeah.
25:07
When we got Nick the Dick, I was with, uh, Who was I with? Sonya Nordstrom from the FBI.
25:13
She was in Slovakia.
25:14
And Jimmy Hall was with us.
26:47
I'm saying in the unit.
