staring at it
44:33
with a long video, that could damage it over time.
44:36
Anyway, so I have a case where I would damage my sensor immediately with a 25 to 1 zoom.
44:44
So solar filter is required anytime the sun has any of this surface exposed.
44:49
That means right up to the diamond ring.
44:52
However, when you have the solar filter on, you don't get the diamond ring effect.
44:57
What you see is the sliver, just the sliver and no glowing bright diamond.

60:52
So that's the creative process, right?
12:18
Now, there's a trick to actually figuring out where to point the camcorder.
12:24
Yeah.
12:25
Um, since I don't wanna be moving the camera while the eclipse is occurring, I just want a steady frame and, and let the, let the sun travel through it, I had to make sure that during the eclipse and a little bit before for the diamond ring and, and after for the diamond ring, that it could travel the distance through that frame without leaving it and have the totality period roughly in the center.
12:49
So basically, the way you do that is you measure how much time it takes for the sun to travel across the frame, and, and this, it also depends on your zoom.
12:58
Uh, get that time, and then cut that in half, and you know that's when to start the beginning of your eclipse run, where you just hit record and let it be.
13:08
And, uh, you know, it'll travel halfway across, totality occurs in the middle, and then it'll travel out, but you'll catch both diamond rings.
18:03
Uh, what's the next camera you wanna talk about?
18:04
about? The next one, which is now my new favorite camera, and the one we use for CES and other, uh, trade shows, is the DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
19:48
What about, [laughs] what about, uh, 2026 or 2025? How did that go?
19:52
It went pretty well, kind of as I expected it would.
19:57
Um, the, the delivery got bounced around a little bit.
20:00
You know, Tesla, as many I think, uh, car manufacturers are now, is, is almost a...
20:06
It's, it's dealerless and it's almost touchless in that you don't really, um, you don't have to go in and, and make, place the order with a dealer.
20:16
Everything's online.
20:17
Um, so when I ordered the car online, the, the delivery date was projected to be the last couple weeks in December of 2025, and this is for the 2026 model.
