Mm.
18:40
And so those are dependencies.
18:42
They will keep you stuck in a job that you don't like, working for a boss you don't like, a commute that you hate.
18:46
They tell you that, "Hey, you know what? You can't work remotely anymore.
18:48
Everyone comes to the office," and you just suck it up and do it.
18:51
Why? Because you don't have optionality.
18:54
And although those are the four dependencies, there's a key that can unlock each of those dependencies.

You want a position somewhere that your day job and your opportunities are an apprenticeship where you're learning on somebody else's dime.
10:58
'Cause here's the beautiful thing that happens.
11:00
Everything in life is long-term compound interest.
11:03
And so as I'm working for them for 18 months, taking a commission on revenue, and we start to find a lot of success by doing the three things that I identified, that if we do these things, we're gonna make a lot more money.
11:15
We went from 10 to $15,000 a month to $150,000 a month without making any changes, just, uh, focused on keep things in stock, run some ads to it, and basically pay attention to what the data is telling us.

But what I'm seeing instead is now reviews are pouring in from people who go, this is great, love these brands, love the soap and shampoo.

So what's your advice? What's your playbook on hiring? this high impact role in your company.
2:46
How did you get started?
2:47
Hmm.
2:48
You know, I, I was born and raised in the DC area, homeschooled all the way through tenth grade.
2:53
Eleventh and twelfth grade, I actually went to school for the first time, and I had no direction of what I wanted to do with my life at that point.
3:00
I had not been exposed to very much, but I knew I wanted to do something big.
3:04
And like everybody else who was entrepreneurial when they were younger, I had these lawn care customers, and I was shoveling snow.
3:11
I was definitely a hustler, but I didn't really understand business.

26 MINS LATER

29:12
I don't.
13:35
They join up to it with us.
13:36
That's true.
13:37
That's the good, the bad, and the ugly of being a technology-focused business.
13:42
Whether you are building a SaaS product, whether you're working in e-commerce, you've found a way to leverage technology and turn that into a business.
13:52
I think that there's levels to the game.
13:54
Because when you think about e-commerce, it's very different from building inside of technology.
13:59
But what they share in common is that they're extremely scalable.

11 MINS LATER
