When will these overnight closures happen and how long will they last? What should we know before we head out?

Well, the overnight closures will run till Thursday of this week.

So we closed last night.

They did make great progress on what they're doing, but it will still require a couple of overnight closures.

So what they're actually doing is when you're driving over the bridge, there's a number of gantries and there's signals that are there, mostly X's and Y's.

and check marks and that sort of stuff.

Those are old technology now.

Are you seeing more traffic across the harbor than you did, say, five or ten years ago? And what challenges does that create for you guys?

Why is the McLay- Mackay closing this weekend? Is it a maintenance issue?

Yes.

No, it's a, it's a maintenance issue.

Um, we, we look at everything that needs to get done, um, and we, we see, okay, how long is this gonna take? Is it something we can do at night? Uh, is this something we can do with a lane closure? And the stuff that's doing, being done this weekend, we can't use any of those, those kind of options.

So we have to close it, get it done, and, and get it, uh, get the bridge reopened as soon as we can afterwards so that it's a safe and efficient travel for people.

Specifically, um, one of the, the things we're doing is there's gonna be, like m- machines out, the heavy machinery, and we're gonna be removing a lot of the north side of the, the north lane of the deck to go down and check to see if there's, you know, what, what there is, how that bridge is performing and going on and that sort of thing.

Um, you know, a couple years ago we had some cracking that we saw there, and we had to replace a couple of sections of deck.

Uh, as, uh, as a result, uh, also some free ferries this weekend.
