So do adjuvants really make that much of a difference when you're doing different testing? How can you see this? Do you notice maybe in the yield? Do you look at it testing either like on a grass paper, like you're looking at paper strips and flying over it with the drone or the plane? How do you test for this and does it really make a difference?
S
12:59Steve OlsonGUEST
Depending on the applicator you're talking to, many of these guys are going out and they're doing some strip tests.
S
13:06Steve OlsonGUEST
Yes, they're going over either the litmus paper or the little cards, but some of these guys have just done it long enough that they can tell if they've got a good pattern out there.
S
13:19Steve OlsonGUEST
Like everything else, the only way that your product, whatever it is, a herbicide, an insecticide, a fungicide, the only way it works is is if it's applied properly and if it hits the target.
S
13:31Steve OlsonGUEST
So that's the first thing, is that most of these guys are looking for an anti-drift component because there's always a little bit of wind out there.

Zach HeftyHOST
So there's a lot of different components in there that all need to mix well because there's not much water in there to help combine some of these things.

And we've noticed we're a little more able to get some good cap rates for individual investors on the asset.
S
57:21Steve OlsonGUEST
So the tenant is responsible for the taxes, the insurance, and the maintenance.
S
57:31Steve OlsonGUEST
A- and I love that part of it because traditionally if you want to participate in this kind of an asset class, you've got to be the developer or a limited partner.
S
57:40Steve OlsonGUEST
You either have all the control, maybe to a fault, [laughs] if you don't want to be a developer, or, or you have any.
Stage 4 Cancer to Still Standing: The Steve Olsen Story of Hope, Mindset & Action

So what has happened to Steve in your life? What have you learned the hard way or the easy way that brought you here today that mindset is such a key? Oh, that's a great question.
S
5:05Steve OlsenGUEST
What I learned in my life, I had the privilege of growing up in Colorado, even though I was born in New Jersey, but I don't remember it.
S
5:12Steve OlsenGUEST
And what I realized is, especially living in the mountains, How critical it is that your environment can influence how you think.
S
5:21Steve OlsenGUEST
So part of the key is wherever you're at, you want to be in a peaceful, mindful location, even if you may not physically be there.
S
5:35Steve OlsenGUEST
In fact, when I was in junior high, I was the captain on the winning junior high football team.

It did, and that was one of the reason that the danger zones around the mountain were so close to the volcano.
S
22:00Steve OlsonGUEST
Of the 57 people who died, 54 were outside the danger zones, and the three who were inside the danger zones actually had permission to be in that, in that area.
S
22:09Steve OlsonGUEST
Before 1980, volcanologists didn't have a lot of experience with volcanoes that collapsed.
S
22:15Steve OlsonGUEST
But since Mount St. Helens, because of all the lessons that they learned from that eruption, they've actually identified hundreds of volcanoes all over the world, some on other planets, that have done just that.
S
22:24Steve OlsonGUEST
They have collapsed and then rebuilt themselves back up and then collapsed again.
S
24:07Steve OlsonGUEST
You know, lots of people in Southwest Washington and elsewhere lost family members that day.
