One of the more fun and enjoyable people to work with.

For sure that, yeah.

And, you know, his favorite moment of every year, I think, was when we were on the North Shore.

So we would rent a house on the North Shore for six weeks to two months every season because we'd end up getting... a significant percentage of the photos we were going to use for the year in that tight little, cause every, every pro surfer was there.

It was the most photogenic place in the world.

You had this wide range of waves, you know, from ripple rocky point to happy pipeline to giant Waimea.

And, um, And the other thing about the North Shore that I didn't realize until later was that because it faces north and it's in winter.

Did you model that after, would

is the general synopsis?

It sounds so fucking goofy on his face that I'm almost embarrassed to say, but I think it kind of works.

So I had a couple of light bulb moments.

One was about the plot.

And the first one about the plot was, When I was at Stanford, my last full-time job, I was the editor of the magazine of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

And I was doing stories about the professors' research there.

And some of them use, for their research into corporate cultures, they get access to internal e-mails.

Now the other thing that I found that...

So I, I agree with what, what you said about the fact that really good books will put you in a place.

The place kinda becomes a character in the book, and, and the descriptions are, are...

And th- that's where you can kinda get poetic and, and do, really do some wordsmithing and, um...
