It's hard to
7:32
grow a property management business organically.
7:36
Think about it.
7:37
You're doing the advertising, the marketing, the social media posts, you know, all the things that other businesses are doing, or at least professional larger property managers are doing.
7:45
You're fighting for that you know, that investor looking to find a good property management company.
7:51
It's a slow organic growth.
7:53
And a property manager doesn't really start making money until that portfolio of properties is decent size.

22:32
But then there's a contrary statistic that says 90% of single family rental homes are owned by landlords with one to five properties.
12:33
Right.
12:33
Uh, but one of the things that I've personally heard from a lot of our past attendees is, "We love the market," or, "We love the production data, but where's the market data?" Uh, they wanna know more about the markets, especially with the volatility today and, and the global trade situation.
12:49
Uh, people are wanting to really learn more about other markets.
12:52
Uh, so that's gonna be one of the focuses this year.
12:55
We're gonna have a whole session focused on what are some of those other markets, what's happening in there, what are consumer preferences in those other markets, uh, particularly looking at Europe, uh, Asia, and Australia.
13:07
Um, of course we'll have information about the North American market too, uh, because so much seafood is sold there, but, uh, really looking at what are some of those options and looking at into diversification.
13:16
So I'm really excited about that.

24:34
[laughs]
8:40
So, um, if I'm ABC Manager Company and I'm ABC PMI, you're getting that br- you're getting that brand name awareness by just having that PMI kind of flagship behind you.
8:54
Yeah, absolutely.
8:55
You know, uh, if you're starting a property management company, the first thing you do is think of y- the name that you're gonna go by.
9:01
Well, our franchise partners, um, they use a version of our name.
9:05
You know, PMI usually starts with PMI, and then they come up with their own.
9:08
You know, if they're in a, you know, the mountains, they might be PMI Mountain Country or whatever it is that the DBA that they wanna run by.
9:17
And then we build their website, put together all their marketing around that brand, and most of this is already pre-created by our marketing department.

19 MINS LATER

28:37
You can get as much, uh, out of the franchise a- as you want, yeah?
3:43
What are your thoughts on that?
3:44
Yeah, our value prop's pretty simple in regards to that question that you answer.
3:49
The dilemma of property management in the US and Canada right now is most investors are forced into one of two choices.
3:58
I mean, they can use a large institutional management company who have, in a lot of cases, a lot of big systems, less personal service, but they have the systems and maybe a good solid reach in one or two big cities.
4:13
Or the other option for an investor is they can use a small localized manager that might be able to have that great personal relationship component, but then they're limited with their resources and their reach and their ability to really provide asset management level services to these seasoned investors.
4:35
And what our value prop is is at PMI is we're able to combine both.
4:41
We've got that localized ownership box checked.
9:26
How do you segment the offering? And how do you figure out what's the right fit?
