I'm, I, uh, I was in New York, and I lived there for about a year, and I was, um, I was with a previous partner, and I just, like, was feeling pretty awful at the time, and I was really wrestling with my faith and wrestling with this season of life, and I was just kinda like, "Man, like, I, I'd love to, like, write myself a song that feels like it places value back on, like, who I am as well." And 'cause I just was feeling, like, really, like, yeah, my value was, like, really diminished, and I just felt terrible, and so I kinda just wrote this song from the perspective...

'Cause obviously faith plays a really big role in my life, and I just wanted to write a song that I'd hope would be sang about me, you know? And so I...

And, and also that's a comfort for other people, like, you know, I just, yeah, just, like, the lyrics, like, "All this world can be so cruel.

What did it do to you?" And just kinda, like, addressing stuff in my own life and, you know, just acknowledging that I don't have to hide my face.

I don't have to hide away, like, broken parts about myself in order to be, like, a beautiful person that's valuable and, like, lovable and good enough.
