Uh, and I think probably, you know, when, when, when I was, when I was a kid living in Ireland especially, we got, because of the proximity of Ireland to the UK, we got-- The BBC was broadcast to Northern Ireland, which was part of the UK, and living on the east coast of Ireland, we, we got it as well.

It was free to air, so we just got the BBC.

So we only had two terrestrial channels in Ireland then, which were both really miserable, which went off a lot of Catholic Church stuff on them, a lot of, you know, at 6:00 and 12:00 there'd be church bells when you're supposed to pray for the Angelus, which was weird being a Protestant.

But it was, it was a very strange environment to grow up in with any kind of, uh, desire to be involved in the arts because it was a really grim landscape for stuff like that.

There was no funding of the arts at all.

Any, any, any Irish person back then who did well left.
