Where did that idea come from?

That's right.

Um, I'm an engineer or scientist by background, and so I'm used to the sort of evidence and, y- you know, uh, questions that have the correct answer, in theory.

Um, and I failed art at school.

[laughs] Um, but during lockdown, you know, when we had the pandemic and it sort of really affected everyone, I sort of got quite a lot of joy and solace from other people sharing paintings and pictures, whether it's on the television or on social media.

And people were using it to sort of really talk about their emotions and their feelings.

And so from that point, I started doing some adult education courses in painting and sketching.
