How do you feel about that?

Yeah, I think, well, we've seen it play out both ways, you know, for the Dodgers.

Um, we've seen it play out a number of different ways.

Like, you know, twenty twenty-two, they won a hundred and eleven games, got bounced in the division series.

All right, twenty twenty-three, another dominant division title, got bounced in the division series by another division rival.

It was the Padres in twenty-two, the Diamondbacks in twenty-three, teams that they had manhandled in the regular season and were comfortably ahead of in the standings.

All right, well, twenty twenty-four, you have a bye.

And has that actually died down? And, and if it has, to what degree at home?

I guess, what would you say when you reflect back on that tenure, how long this whole period at the leagues, what have been some of the biggest changes, I guess, that have taken place either with the leagues or even just in the credit union system?

Well, there's tons of changes.

You know, the leagues, I would say leagues are very different animals than they used to be and had to change considerably over the years.

The leagues that I'm a part of, California, Nevada, Utah, have had to shrink dramatically in staffing size as we've experienced pressure on income.

So as you shrink staffing, you have to make choices about what is most important and what you change, which I think relates a little bit to the big changes that have taken place in the industry generally.

There's just this diversification of the industry that's It's just been a huge thing.

You know, I suppose that I wasn't around 50 years ago, but I suppose that back then most credit unions were very similar, you know, as far as their product offering and their size.

Like, first of all, what does that consist of exactly? Like, what are some specific services and things that fall in that bucket?

Yeah.

So but, like, uh, again, like, do they run into that wall as young guys in the dog days? Do they get over it? That's, that's a big storyline.

And, and, and the Marlins.

At this point, you, like, they are a Cinderella story.

Um, do they have the happy ending like Cinderella does, or does the clock strike midnight and they turn back into a pumpkin? Now, with, with Clayton at the helm, I just, I, I don't believe that they are gonna lose that edge.

Um, and we saw the fight for Miami down the stretch in 2025 as they single-handedly ruined New York's season, right? So that's, that's the kind of moxie that they have in that group, too.

So I'm not saying they're, saying they're Cinderella because, just because they're the Miami Marlins.
