And, and I mean, I guess, so, you know, that, that is the full circle with me and everything horn related.

Stasia SienaGUEST
So, you know, the f- the, the, the alpha and the omega of my horn story is that I had the great blessing of teaching, um, Bernard Scully the Alexander Technique.

Stasia SienaGUEST
Um, my academic background was, uh, you know, obviously in foreign service at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, which, you know, obvious connection to music.

And for people that don't understand what that is, I mean, maybe just talk about your slant on this, how you see th- the Alphorn Project, which was really your idea a few years ago when you said, "What if?" And I was like, "Oh, what if? What if we did that?"

Stasia SienaGUEST
Um, so the original idea, you know, it was to, the original vision was to bring alphorns into university settings, and I, uh, I think we probably will always have some new listeners that won't have, you know, the history of how this all started.

Stasia SienaGUEST
But the original idea was kind of following on, dovetailing on the m- the model that exists in conservatories and universities of having an ensemble of alphorns as part of a brass division, or in some instances, as part of a French horn studio.

Stasia SienaGUEST
So we, we, we recruited four ambassadors to bring, uh, to really found the program, and that was at Boston University and at University of the Pacific, and then with Katie Ambrose at Iowa.

There were a few people that said, we've got to do this.

Stasia SienaGUEST
And I mean, there's so much to say about that, you know, as always, there's so much to say.

Stasia SienaGUEST
But I think that for you, you were in a unique experience because here you're coming to a camp.

Stasia SienaGUEST
We have a lot of campers who come that are professional or semi-professional musicians.

Stasia SienaGUEST
I mean, you were thrown into the thick of it with an amount of practice that isn't part of your daily life.

Can you just talk a little bit about Ann? And now that she's part of the Alporn Project, too, I mean, she is going to be phenomenal.
