For our listeners who may not be familiar with the mission behind Real Recovery, do you want to share a little bit about it and how the organization came to be?

Sure.

Well, our mission is pretty straightforward.

We want to help men coping with cancer.

And we started back in 2003 when I was working as associate director for an organization called Casting for Recovery.

And they originated the idea of using fly fishing to help women with breast cancer cope with their disease and recovery.

The day after I was told that the organization was moving to Vermont from my home in Massachusetts and I was going to lose my job, a man called Stuart Brown called the office.

I imagine that this is one of those jobs that you have where you're like, how did I get so lucky?
