Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your herd for everyone listening?

Sure.

We are in Maine, in southern Maine, near Portland.

I've had goats not very long, about seven years, and like a lot of people I've met, um, we originally just wanted to get a couple of does for family milk and, and as pets, [laughs] and that quickly escalated.

I actually cringe when I, when I think about... [laughs] In the very beginning, I, I had done a lot of research and, and I knew that, um, you know, like the sort of quality herds that are around here, and we have, we have a lot of really good Nigerians in New England, but I had sort of narrowed down to some really res- well-respected herds, and I sent them emails saying that I was looking for pet quality doelings.

[laughs] And I'm so embarrassed by that now.

But I pretty, pretty quickly realized that, uh, this venture pretty much combined all of the things that I've been passionate about my whole life.
