Um, if you leave things open and end it in a certain way, people will bring connections to them, and I, it's not that calculated to leave it open, but I, I am aware that it is better to leave, um, come up, come up short with a sentence or with a paragraph or an idea, come up short than filling it out with specifics.

Um, but at the same time, um, say I really researched, um, the, uh, American fear of communism in the Cold War and, um, and you know, these, these motifs come up again that government, um, you know, governments will purposely, uh, instill some fear in people in order to get them to look over here.

Um, it might've been in Lit Hub, but I'm not sure, and it was, um, uh, a guy saying, "Y- you know, what's up with this? Um, why did a guy, uh, a male who w- won, has won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction beforehand, has won numerous awards, um, why did..." You know, it's just, he said, "Oh, it's fishy that, um, a ma- they would pick a man to win." Um, and what happened? What could've happened? Well, no one's gonna know what happened because they, the committee does not divulge what happened-
