So I said the title professionalizing collaboration, it's a mouthful, but what are we talking about? What does that mean for you? When we'd say professionalizing collaboration? How did you approach that at SDU and what triggered it? What was the problem, for example, that you were trying to solve?

Søren LandGUEST
I think first of all, I think we needed to acknowledge the collaboration, engagement with the outside world and especially with companies within public and private sector is something that was already ongoing and at SDU already before we thought of trying to do what we are calling a professionalized framework.

Søren LandGUEST
And you probably also need to acknowledge that many of these collaborations, they are done in kind of partnerships.

Søren LandGUEST
And it's basically impossible to get a total overview of all the partnerships that goes on and works within a university with the outside world.

Søren LandGUEST
And that's the way it should be, because I think basically researchers and whomever, they should be able to do partnerships and collaboration with companies and public private sector as they wish for.

Søren LandGUEST
But what we wanted to was to find out how we could divide the optimal support in this case for our five faculties.

Sarah JabberHOST
How did you approach maybe trying to align that gap and make it clear, you know, what can collaboration offer both internally and externally?
