[gentle piano music] So we return to Goodcliff, and our investigators have split up into three different groups.

Amity and Eamon are currently at the little hospital, um, uh, in the, in the village.

Davey has been up to the offices at the mine head to see if he can find out a little bit more information about the, uh, the work that the exploratory team were doing.

And Verity has had a brief meeting with Mary Chenoweth and is currently deciding whether or not to head off on his own to Goodcliff House to see what might be found there, and why both William Trevelyan and the staff there are, uh, behaving in slightly unusual fashion, and indeed, what has happened to William's wife, Sarah.

[gentle music] So at the hospital, Amity and Eamon, you have been seen through to the side wing where in a bed lying on his back, labored breathing, is Jago Pendrick.

And sitting beside him holding his hand, looking pale and drawn and tired, is his wife, Morwen.

... and no shutters on the boarding house.

[laughs] So, you know, if you can, if you can get the window open, you can maybe push open the shutters and pull apart the curtains and, and see inside, but it's gonna be a little bit tricky.
