One story about David in the Bible is that when his predecessor, King Saul, was tormented by an evil spirit, David would take up his harp and play, and that would bring Saul relief.

It's one of our most ancient as well forms of music therapy, really.

So we see that Saul is healed by the harp.

And so that's actually really unique.

And actually, even whenever I was doing my master's, so I did harp when I was in university here.

And then I went on and I did my master's in music therapy.

And I remember that we were actually learning about this and how Saul was healed by the harp and actually why that that would be.

But the fact that the Psalms are songs, that musical element to it, is a bit more elusive for you if you're just picking up the book to read it today.
