That makes it that much more meaningful to share these words of Torah with you.

Sonia SaltzmanGUEST
I feel, though, that I am continuing a conversation that you started last Shabbat when you engaged all of us in a discussion about what really satisfies us.

Sonia SaltzmanGUEST
What does it mean to eat and be satisfied? And then you offered a beautiful Dvar Torah on the verse about man does not live on bread alone.

Sonia SaltzmanGUEST
So this is really a continuation of that conversation that was started, uh, last Shabbat.

Sonia SaltzmanGUEST
So these days, whenever we eat at a restaurant, the server asks, "Do you have any allergies or dietary restrictions?" And I'm always tempted to answer, "Yes, they're all listed in Deuteronomy 14." [laughs] Which is, uh, our Torah portion this Shabbat.
