So can you speak a little bit to, you know, this contrast between the whiteness encountered in art school and appetite and capitalism, and how you approach the illustrations for the book?

Yeah, yeah, that's a great question.

Maybe I'll jump back into art school and it being very un-art school to eat.

It's funny because actually in art school, I didn't take a single drawing or painting course.

In my undergraduate, I was actually really focused on video and performance and sculpture.

And that was really what had driven my artistic practice during that time.

And so the drawings that I did for this book, I was returning to drawing, like it was returning to drawing and reskilling my drawing skill set since high school.
