thank you for that mark we're now at the end of our episode but before we say goodbye it's time for membership corner for those who are in wellington the next skeptics in the pub will be at the intercontinental hotel on october 7th at 6 p.m their next skeptics in the pub will be on tuesday october 6th at the dyson fork or the dyson lock and they will start at 6 30 p.m uh For anyone in Christchurch, if you want to support DeCult, tickets are still on sale as well as discounted prices for students.

That's going to be held at the town hall in the Limes Room on October 24th and 25th for the conference.

But there are going to be other activities or workshops being held both before and after.

And I'll just click that right now in front of me here on my little And yes, here we go.

So topics include creationism, James Randi, miracles, water divining, psychics, astrology, alternative medicine, ghosts, UFOs, Richard Saunders, myself, Barry Williams, and tests of claims, plus things like skeptics in the pub and various convention videos.

I listened the other night to an evolutionary biologist and I'm actually going to try and get him to come and talk at the Skeptics in the Pub.

Well, before we do that, Alice and I have actually just, we've just been in Portugal with several members of the Skeptics in the Pub online team.

Which is very lovely.

It's been sort of five days.

But a paternalistic TV show which doesn't speak to any neurodivergent people apart from Mason, the 10-year-old, isn't the place to explore that idea, nor is it an idea we're actually ever likely to see in practice because of the society we live in.

So Liverpool Skeptics in the Pub, we have a social event this evening, which is taking place at the Sun Inn in Knowsley.

in the midst of this, I turned up for this thing called Skeptics in the Pub.

Yeah.

And, um, and it's packed.

Before we sign off, we still have some items for Membership Corner.

Our next Wellington Skeptics in the Pub will be on September 18th at 6 p.m. at the Intercontinental Hotel.

The Auckland Skeptics in the Pub will be meeting on October 6, 6.30 p.m. at the Dyson Fork.

Tickets for the DeCult conference are still on sale.

Just remember the conference will be held in Christchurch.

But I really don't think it works as well as running it on a Friday night through to a Saturday night.

Again, we'll see what comes out in the wash over the next couple of months.

And I think in November, the Wellington Skeptics in the Pub, as well as a couple of other Skeptics in the Pub meetups across New Zealand, we're going to be kind of doing our own little private celebration of the 40th anniversary of New Zealand skepticism, technically.

Anyway, a lot of those files went missing from my personal collection.
