Well, it must have felt like I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I mean, if you really stopped and thought about it and the songs that I loved and the music choices.

But I do feel like in retrospect that it was a very nice place to grow up and it's a nice place to be from.

I actually really enjoyed my childhood.

I loved grade school, junior high, high school.

I absolutely loved high school.

So please tell me, Sister Roma, where and how did you first encounter the sisters? How did you first encounter them?

Liz, first of all, I have to say, there are some things in life that I will never take for granted.

Right.

And traditionally, in this game, we all know that people go to the center square m- most of all, so.

Yeah.

And once we get you in a meeting, you're hooked, darling.

It's over.

[laughs] You, you have to meet, find Sisters that you wanna be on your support team, and then you talk to our Mistress of Novices and you begin the process.

And it can take a year or two for some people to actually go through all the different stages and requirements, but once you become fully professed, uh, you're a Sister for life.

Mm-hmm.

And that created some pushback amongst people in San Francisco and, uh, even in City Hall.

Luckily, we had representatives like Mark Leno and others who fought very hard to make sure that the Sisters got the permit to close the street.
