Um, I think there's always been a huge amount of goodwill for the Irish community all over the world where IDA does operate and where, you know, even to your point around community, community is very important for Irish people and Irish people support each other in businesses.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
And we've seen a huge amount of traffic from, you know, Irish people who've done very well in companies in Ireland.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
coming into leadership positions then at headquarters, which is really interesting to see.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
So I think as IDA has grown, as the number of companies that we support has grown, what we've seen is the companies more and more so, and even more so today, are looking for stability they're looking for you know a business model that works for them to grow their business and i think what's really important for us is that it's a partnership so when we work with companies that you know would have started in many cases decades ago in ireland and those companies are continuing to reinvest in ireland and you know sometimes people say well you know how do you measure success and to us success is companies are continuing to make decisions to reinvest in ireland to hire more people in ireland to undertake more strategic work in Ireland and they're doing that because Ireland's worked and particularly in the tech sector, you know, we've worked really hard to have a very strong offering for companies that are looking to, you know, higher tech talent, that are looking to have a business model that's really successful for particularly even companies from Austin and Texas to actually grow and expand in the European market, which can look quite complex from here.

What's the job market like in Ireland for companies that are looking at coming there? Is there a highly educated workforce? Is that workforce available? Are there jobs available? Is now the time to be going to Ireland?

What does that tell you about the depth of the economic relationship between the US and Ireland?

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
Yeah, I think it's a partnership, and when we look at some companies from the Chicago area, the likes of Abbott celebrated 80 years in Ireland this year.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
Um, so that's the test of, test of time in terms of the longevity of the relationships.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
And what we would see, companies in our life sciences, pharma- biopharma, med tech, uh, technology, they're companies that in many cases have been in Ireland for decades, and they're reinvesting in Ireland.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
And I think that's the secret sauce, where you're reinvesting because it's really been a success so far.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
And they're reinvesting in Ireland, I think, because of the stability that Ireland brings, um, because it's, it's a stable economic environment.

Siobhan HanleyGUEST
Um, it's one where there's a high degree of comfort for companies that invest here, that it's low risk.

What role do you see Ireland playing in American AI companies as they expand their operations internationally?
