#40: Rachel Reid’s Surprise Appearance in Toronto with Simona Stallone

It's like a, it's like a book club with a twist, but basically, we're a community, and we create spaces for girls, women, and, like, everybody in between, everybody's welcome, um, to come in and get to be unapologetically ourselves and like the things we like.

So I just think, I guess, like, this started 'cause me and Jess were kind of talking about wanting, she wanted to start a book club.

I was like, "Yes." She's like, "Oh, hey, do it with me." I said, "Perfect." Um, and we started talking about how girls and women specifically have to tone down everything that we enjoy.

It is, "You can't be super extra about this," or, "You can't be so excited about that." Like, men can, like, punch a television during a football game, and they're like, "Boys being boys," but if a girl likes a book, they're like, "She is, like, kind of obsessed, and that's weird." So we're just creating a space where girls can come in and do not have to tone themselves down at all.
