Simon, how long have you been a coach for?

So I did my first coach training when I was in a role as a member of a leadership team when I was, well, that was probably eight years ago.

So I was a member, I was a head of partnerships for an amazing organisation called Skills Builder, which was set up a couple of years before I joined.

Basically, teachers set it up to help develop education essential skills like teamwork, creativity, problem solving, with the same rigor that gets given to literacy and numeracy.

And my job was to go and develop partnerships with employers, foundations, people who would support it financially, but also who would allow young kids from really young primary all the way through to secondary to go on visits to employers to do like project-based learning in a real business setting with professionals.

So I was tasked with developing a network of employers as the organisation went from a start-up to a scale-up to make it work nationally.

So hubs of teachers, employers, that sort of thing.
