What, what other sort of, uh, prevention strategies do you think, uh, we can, uh, uh, advise people to avoid hypoglycemia?
8:44
I think the kind of prevention strategies need to be done is ensuring that people understand what is happening when they have hypoglycemia, uh, and, uh, their lo-glucose levels at which that might happen.
9:00
I think we should be telling people that a normal glucose is around 70 milligrams per deciliter, four millimoles per liter.
9:09
Uh, and as glucose falls to we- towards tho-those levels, as they begi- it begins to approach, then the body will recognize that potentially and begin to provide those symptoms.
9:24
So we have to ta-teach them the symptoms.
9:27
Uh, we have to teach them, uh, to be alert to that.
9:31
For those on continuous glucose monitors, of course, we now have alarms, uh, and we should teach them to set those alarms.
13:19
And so what's some practical advice you'd give to clinicians about balancing those two?
