Simon HectorGUEST
Yeah, I think it's a bit strange that we have had like this season, this SM long.

Simon HectorGUEST
It's the only... like real elite long distance in Sweden this year, which is kind of confusing when one of the aims for this Swedish national team has been for a few years to get better in long distance.

Simon HectorGUEST
There have been a few medals on long distance, and the latest years it's been more and more, also on the men's side.

Simon HectorGUEST
So I think it's a bit strange to not... kind of prioritize it but um yeah i it's it's nice that it's at least coming up now and uh i think for my own part i've been um also um looking a bit for those races in in other places so it's been nice to to go and for example run the festival and long distance that i did in in june so like to get get a good long distance and then uh One good thing this year was actually that the long distances in Horingen were almost proper long distances rather than the short and long distances that they usually are.

Ivar HaugenHOST
uh yeah you're telling you have been training in the terrain how does it suit you i know uh there were swedish league races there a couple of years ago you were uh then among top five uh both days as far as I understood and how do you look at the terrain that meets you compared with last year where you won?

Simon HectorGUEST
Actually I didn't think the terrain last year in south of Örebro would suit me like perfect and as the race was it was kind of quite a lot of road running but I seem to just have had the day and I had been doing really really good training until then so I was in really good shape and I think I hope I can be in in a similar shape this year but then of course there are really many other good guys but in general I would say in Skåne terrain it's usually usually it's good to be one of the faster runners it's maybe more of a continental style of orienteering than we are used to in sweden it's more kind of leaf forest and and really open but it's also kind of from the border to to uh more normal swedish terrain or what you say so it can also be quite quite varied so really not sure how it suits me i i was really happy in those swedish league races two years ago because it really felt that i i took a step when i was fifth on the long distance and fourth on the middle because it felt like i took a step in terrain that i was maybe not one of the fastest guys in before so uh yeah i've been working so hard with my running like running flat capacity or what we call it.
