I'm so grateful for the invitation.

Well, let's get started.

As you've heard in that introduction, there is a suggestion and it's an idea which has taken off in various countries around the world that Christianity is inherently a suspect category.

Now, there's all sorts of reasons why people may take that view, depending on what part of the world you live in.

But the particular issue that's caught on particularly many Western nations is the idea that Christianity is harmful when we speak specifically about the Christian sexual ethic, the fact that sex is for marriage and marriage is between one man and one woman for life.

Do you think there's a general move in in the west to greater restriction on christian freedoms and if so what's what do you think is driving driving it

Are we in favor of safeguarding? 100%.

But what do people mean, particularly today when they say safeguarding? What they often have is a particular political goal that they want to achieve, a political cause that they want to advance, and they don't want you getting in the way.

So they tell you that their goal, their political aim is cloaked in safeguarding, when in fact it's not.

And I think perhaps we could use the issue of gender ideology as a prime example of that, that people say that it's safeguarding to enable a child who is female to present as male at school.

Even though that child has many undiagnosed issues, which clearly need addressing, the child's parents are not going along with that.

And in fact, there are real safeguarding reasons not to do that.

And we've seen that shift, haven't we, even in education from non-affirming to wildly over-affirming.
