So I, I wanted to ask you, and if you, if you don't really feel comfortable speaking to this, that's okay.

But, um-I guess, um, related to your friend and student and his, um, you know, the way he passed.

Um, I, I guess how do you...

Tell us what you mean by that.

Yeah.

You know, a- as I've been studying monetary policy, it seems like every day I learn just a little tiny piece more, you know? And, um, understanding real rates is something that is so esoteric to the mainstream media's, you know, description of what it is that's happening within the economy.

It's real easy to say, you know, when the Fed raises rates, it restricts the economy.

When they lower rates, it eases the economy.

But it's a lot more complicated than just that.

A- and to understand the real interest rates is to understand how it is that an investor would receive after an inflation expectations, or on the flip side, how much a debtor is going to pay after an inflation expectation.

[laughs] It's not coming, buddy.

Yeah.

Yeah, we'll come back to the European story.

But on, on the back of that 23% down on the day, 7% the day after, it's continued to slide, so who knows if it's found a bottom yet.

It's still going down.

The second thing really is the business has got a lot more complex.

It's not just selling medical devices now.

They're not, you know, a high margin razor and blade device model.

Simon, if you only had one minute to give music artists the best advice you possibly could, what would you say? One minute on the clock.

Well, I think I would have to say that there's this really good Albert Einstein quote that said, "If I was given an hour to solve a problem, I would spend 55 minutes figuring out the right questions to ask, and then I could solve it in five, five minutes." But I think oftentimes with artists, they look at these hyper-successful artists that have succeeded and they're like, "How do I do that?" But if they could upgrade their questions to, "How do I get my music synced in film and TV? How do I get my music to get in front of the right audience?" And asking higher level questions, I think the answers will come to you a lot quicker.

I'd have, like, this dirty-headed brain fog, and then I'd hit it again and everything would go back to normal.

So that had to regulate.

Not safe for the general public, though, if the government are knocking on the door saying, "We need, we need to get the gold out" [laughs]

So another story where the government has confiscated gold.

Can't confiscate Bitcoin.

And then, yeah, as you're about to say, sentiment on AI shifted.

It's shifted completely to now we've seen across the software sector that these tools are gonna replace or make it so much more competitive in these software spaces.

So the growth story isn't there anymore, and that's just been on a slide since then.

And then end of last month, the CEO and founder, Luis von Ahn, he came out, pretty bold move, but basically said they're intentionally trading off this year's financial metrics for a, quote, "a much larger thing in the long term." And what he meant by that is they're now prioritizing user acquisition over making more money out of current users.

And so how that plays out is they're actually foregoing $50 million in revenue by removing paywalls to improve the free user experience, giving more access to different features.

The aim is they're gonna double their daily active users to 100 million people by 2028.

But because of that change, they reduced their revenue guidance.

But why don't you kick us off with question one: Does it make a great product or service?

So you're a detective on this tiny island?

I got a phone call from a detective chief inspector at our headquarters in Glasgow, and he'd asked for CID, and he got me.

There was no one else to get.

How are you budgeting now that you are somewhat financially independent and taking your finances on by yourself? Um, how do you manage your money generally? So how did you decide how much, I know your dad gave you some guidance, but how much you're going, um, to invest, how much to save, how much to put towards expenses?

Well, generally, like, I try to keep my expenses as low as possible.

Um, I don't really spend all that much, so, you know, what I have to worry about is mostly just rent and food and education-type expenses.

But we have a, uh, a 529 for that, so I don't have to worry about that quite so much.

So I just try to keep my expenses as low as possible.

And of course, like, I live in a pretty big city, so that's not always the easiest thing.

Like, rent is pretty high even for a studio apartment.

It might seem like a long ways away from now, but have you thought about how your life financially and personally may change after that? Are you going to move somewhere? Are you maybe going to, uh, take on some new expenses, start paying off your student loans if you have them?
