I got very ill at age seven or eight.

So I would just listen to the radio for hours and, uh, as I recovered, uh, I, I realized a lot of the, I was realizing a lot of the themes I didn't understand.

I understood lo- this guy lost his girl, this guy's gonna win back his girl, but I didn't, I didn't understand a lot of the themes.

Now, I remember listening to Yes It Is and, um, thinking that whatever Lennon was singing had a depth and a width and a breadth that I didn't understand yet, but I'd get it one day.
