In a few days from tonight, we're going to be standing before HaKadosh Baruch Hu on Rosh Hashanah.
0:08
And I want to share a few words that tie into that.
0:11
Not my own words, but words I heard from the Rosh Sheva Zatzal, or B'Avram Nassan al-Zukr, whose Yartzeit we mark today.
0:20
The Gemara says, The Gemara says, So malchiyas so that we accept HaKadosh Baruch Hu as our melech.
0:37
So that our zichrain, our remembrance should come before HaKadosh Baruch Hu good.
0:42
And what is this going to go up with? With the sheifer.
0:00
I want to share with the Oylem a word I wrote up from my Rosh Shiva Zatzal, Rabbi Ramana Samuel Zucker, last year, but I think it's very apropos for especially this time of year in Elul, Parashat Kisaytse.
0:14
The first postick in the Parashat says, Kisaytse l'machama alei vecha, v'nasnu Hashem alikecha b'yadcha.
0:20
That if someone, if a yid goes out to war, he takes field against his enemy, HaKadosh Baruch Hu will deliver them into your power, right? Now, Chazal see deeper in this, that when you go out and take to your enemies, you go out into the field to wage war.
0:42
It's speaking about war, but it's also speaking about the inner war that every person faces.
0:48
Each of us have an arch enemy, and that enemy is the Yetzirah.
0:53
The Yetzirah comes to fight us.
