I mean, I'm a bit of a nerd and I try to take my bias out of things as much as possible because I know that we have, I'm not trying to say that I don't have bias in this whole thing, but the more I can remove bias and remain a scientist, the better it is for my patients.

and so what i've learned after doing functional medicine training is that the gut is also much more than just digestion and absorption and elimination right that's what we learned in sixth grade seventh grade biology so as we start learning that the gut is the home to the majority of your immune system then we can understand why the gut is essential in all immuno issues, whether it's a deficiency, if it's a hyperactivity, if it's a confusion state, which is autoimmunity, like anything immune, I think gut first, then, and also the whole world of allergy and atopic disease is in there because we see that I take care of pediatrics as well.
