They're always going somewhere.
5:10
Yes, and I'm always amazed at how clean the grounds are by Monday.
5:12
Our team just does a phenomenal job.
5:14
But, you know, we have to wrap things up.
5:16
Um, looking at numbers, gathering those for media and, um, of course, checking and d- double-checking so we're reporting everything properly.
5:24
Um, but we're already getting ready.
5:25
We have events, um, that next Thursday we're hosting a Visit Milwaukee and MMAC event that Thursday night.
6:23
Yeah, like-
1:29
you
1:29
know, do their best.
1:30
Yes, they do their best.
1:31
That's the best way to put that.
1:33
But it's not their fault.
1:34
They're not God.
1:35
And if they could control the weather, they would get paid much more.
5:09
They're always going
12:49
Yeah.
12:49
And, and we always take our revenue that we make and put it back into the fair.
12:54
We're program revenue funded for our operating budget, so, uh, we have to make our way as we go here.
12:59
So, um, ha- having that situation happen last year, we had to kinda put some things on pause.
13:05
Not that there's anything that was dire, um, but we usually'll just do some, some projects throughout the year.
13:10
We really had to be careful with our budget because-

5 MINS LATER

18:20
Right.
18:20
Um, but when you walk through Exploratory Park, there's some great new additions.
15:23
There's something pretty much every day, right, an activation or a way for people to come out at a discount?
15:29
There is, and again, all of that is listed on our State Fair website, but I can tell you we have some phenomenal sponsors with some great deals.
15:37
We want to make sure that this event is affordable for everyone, so definitely take advantage of those.
15:43
We also have Crazy Grazing Day on Tuesday of the fair where you can purchase smaller portions of food.
15:51
for less money, which will allow you to purchase multiple items and really get that fun, fair flavor going.
16:26
And I love for you to remind people that those kids would love to hear your questions and would love to answer questions about their animals that they've raised.
16:35
They would.
16:36
And I can tell you anybody that.
4:49
And it's different every single day.
4:52
It is.
4:52
You can come and watch the dairy show, which we have the juniors showing those.
4:57
And then, you know, we also have the four and six point hitch shows.
5:02
We have horse pulling.
5:05
There's just so much going on.
5:07
You can watch the pigs in the pig barn.

7 MINS LATER

12:37
Talk a little bit about that.
0:58
So I started at the
1:00
Waukesha County Fair.
1:01
I began exhibiting dairy cattle when I was nine.
1:04
Technically started as a mini 4-H member.
1:07
That was before they had clover buds.
1:08
So started that when I was seven.
1:10
But, you know, got to graduate to big kid 4-H, so to speak, when you're nine and started showing dairy.

24 MINS LATER

24:50
But do you want to talk maybe about the cream puff tradition and what that is at Wisconsin State Fair?
