Well, I loved what Ms. Newell said when she talked about creating that independence, making sure they can do it by themselves, as simple as carrying their lunch tray, taking off their jacket, hanging their jacket up.

So anytime parents can practice with anything independent, That's such a great thing to do.

I would say when we think about getting ready for kindergarten or pre-K or anywhere, one of the best things parents can do is things that we think may be simple, but just simply talking to your child.

How did your day go? Just simple conversations because that's such an important skill to have.

You know we all love it when a child comes up to us especially and it's just very outgoing and can have those soft skills.

So I think anytime you can talk to your child is so, so important.
