... yeah, yeah.

Um, so at that point it was like, I almost, again, delusional, "Hello, wake up.

Anyone home?" Um, [laughs] like I was just like, "Oh fine, like I'll do this for five months to do the chemo and then I'll just crack on.

I'll reapply and I'll go to California then." And then it wasn't until the diagnosis like kept on racking up and it got to a point where they said that I had a 30 to 40% chance of survival, and if the treatment that I was doing-

Yeah.

Yeah, it's so cathartic.

And I think I just, I love my life so much now that I live more in the present.

And rather than always thinking, "Oh, God, what if it comes back? What if it comes back?" Like, I realistically have no control over that.

Like, can you describe this, this, what you do? What is your job? What is this dream that you live?

So I am a full-time content creator, and an author.

And like, with the content creation, it was something that I never anticipate getting into.

It wasn't something that I set out to do for a career.

Um, but it, it just ended up being perfect because it is a culmination of all of my passions and hobbies.

Like, I studied film and TV, so I've always just loved storytelling really is at, is at the heart of everything that I do.

I love telling stories and entertaining people, and it's like I, I specialize in cinematography.

What does, like, do you think, are you someone that looks towards the future or do you generally just, like, focus on the day-to-day? And I guess what, if you have, say, a dream of what things might look like, what, what is that? What would you, what would you like your life to evolve into?

Is that the answer you came to?

Yeah.

Yeah, because I think how many people does this impact, and how many people have their own struggles and things going on? And we can always think, you know, look that way and go, "Oh, how amazing have they got it." And then if I turn my head the other way, there's children with cancer, and they've not got to experience...

You know, at least I've got to experience, I've found the love of my life.

I've gone and done a degree that I love.

I've met the most wonderful friends.

I had such an incredible childhood.

Yeah, what would you say to those people who think, "God, like this is tough, what I'm facing right now"?

Um, you know, could you tell us a bit about how-... your cancer was discovered, um, what that kind of process kind of looked like, and then we'll delve into, uh, the rest of the story.

Yeah, sure.

So I actually got diagnosed when I was 20, and that was back in 2019, and I was supposed to be doing a year abroad, a study abroad in California.

And it was about a week or so before I was meant to go, and my girlfriend, like, came through the front door and she said to me, "You look like a man." That was the first thing she said, and I laughed anyway because I'm quite a tomboy, so I was like, "Oh, thanks." She was like, "No, you really look like a man.

You've got an Adam's apple." And I turned and I looked in the mirror in our hallway, and I had this golf ball-sized lump in my throat that somehow I had just not noticed.

I guess when it grows over, like, six months or something, um, you just, it becomes a bit invisible to you and, and you don't realize.

And we were joking about it.

How does it affect your life? Like, what, in, through those early stages, I guess, of, of treatment, like, what, what, what does it look like to have treatment for this? And yeah, what are the impacts?
